Description
The “Red ECU” or colloquially “Red Box” is not a piggyback solution with it’s design based limitations.
It is a 100% stand-in for the stock ECU that allows programming of all relevant parameters of the engine performance. It is a lot more versatile than piggyback solutions which can only intercept sensor signals and modify them (e.g. Powertronic, Power Commander and certain analog devices).
It allows for internal storage of 4 complete situational maps that can be changed with the push of a button via a switch on the handle bar.
The factory settings are 2 different maps for the 411 stock engine (stock as well as open exhaust and free flow air filter) and two for big bore kits.
But of course we offer our own optimized map for the 477 big bore kit with or without performance camshaft as a free download from our forum.
The Red ECU replaces the stock version in under 10 minutes, faster and easier than a piggyback solution.
