Description
This set contains everything you need to upgrade the 350cc J-engine to 410cc. This applies for HUNTER, METEOR or NEW CLASSIC BULLET.
This cylinder has a new liner compatible with the new piston (meaning: the old liner was not just bored out, it was replaced).
With this upgrade a change of the ECU is NOT necessary. The OEM ECU manages it without flaw. We have tested it on a HUNTER and from about 3000rpm upwards the added torque is obvious. Reaching top speed is now a breeze. We have not tried a 16 teeth sprocket but it stands to reason that this will enhance top speed by about 10kmh making this bike fit even for the German Autobahn without hanging behind trucks all the time.
If you use this on a HUNTER send us a picture of your side panel and we will send you a 410 logo sticker for the side panel in the your color scheme as jpg, pdf and corel file.
Any print shop should be able to make a plastic sticker from these files. If you are unable to locate a print shop that makes these stickers we can send them from here but it will take time (and the shipping will be more than what a local shop will charge you for the print).
In the west RE uses the word HNTR instead of HUNTER (for copyright reasons) but we will only supply the original Indian version where HUNTER is spelled out.
Specs:
Bore: 78mm
Stroke: same as stock – 85.8mm
Compression: ca. 3-5% above stock (9.5:1) – runs without knocking with 95RON fuel and above
ECU: stock (Powertronic not needed and as of our test it does not enhance the performance if used on this BB kit)
The kit fits into the engine without modifications to the engine body i.e. it is not necessary to widen the opening.
