Heavy Duty Leg Guard For The Himalayan

Leg Guard vs. Engine Guard

What would you rather crush in a topple, your leg or your engine?

Most sophisticated engine guards like GIVI or ZANA that look real fancy protect your engine, not your leg, when you fall from relatively slow speed in heavy terrain. We have had them on our bikes and the construction makes them crush your foot if you are unlucky. That is why we adapted the Bullet type leg guard for the Himalayan.

The lower connector posed a problem when cutting them off their original position (to fit the Bullet) and re-welding them “quick and dirty” a bit further out to fit the wider Himalayan contact points.
They do brake off when “re-adjusting” the leg guard after a fall. So we made sure that never happens with our design (watch the video to see how it’s done).

Black 2-rib version: The lower connector is 5mm steel and 7cm deep integrated into the guard before welding. It will not break.

You can choose between two or three ribs – the two rib version is mate BLACK and you can put extra fog-lights on the lower rib. The three rib version is made from stainless steel, a bit sturdier and TIG welded.
